ADMINISTRATION: County Clerk

The County Clerk’s office is charged with recording all real estate transactions and filings attached to real estate. All civil actions and judgments are on file in the Clerk’s Office. Passport applications and business certificates are processed here.

Land transactions (deeds, mortgages, maps, etc.) are recorded and maintained in the Clerk’s office. Uniform Commercial Codes filings, veterans’ discharges, census records, oaths of office, civil court cases, notary renewals and many other legal documents are filed here. Certificates of doing business under an assumed name and passports are issued in this office. Department of Motor Vehicles is also part of the County Clerk’s Office.
