The Hiring Emergency Limited Placement Program (HELP Program) is in effect for Tioga County from September 25, 2023, to September 25, 2024. This 12-month temporary program allows Tioga County to hire for the following titles without participating in the Civil Service exam or being appointed from an Eligible List:

• Caseworker
• Community Services Worker
• Public Safety Dispatcher Trainee
• Social Welfare Examiner

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the desired position.

Employees would serve the required probationary term for non-competitive positions as outlined in Tioga County Civil Service Rule XIV.1.a.

After the end of this temporary program, those employees will have attained competitive status.
